Subject: My fast-learner experience:

While my son was struggling to find things of interest at his elementary and middle school in Cambridge, we discovered the HSSP Program Program (High School Studies Program) that runs for 10 weeks in the Spring and the Summer.

They have mostly MIT undergraduates and some faculty members
teaching a wide range of courses from Boolean logic to genetics, and the children seem to love it as they finally find courses that are intellectually stimulating and are taught with a lot of energy.

[The writer also noted the PROMYS program at Boston University and Mathforum at Northeastern University. While PROMYS accepts only high school children, Mathforum has groups for several age and ability ranges, Banerjee said. You'll find more on the MIT program for bright middle-school and high school students on our e-link library page.]
