I'd like to recommend Meritor Academy in Middleton, MA. It is a wonderful school for pre-kindergarten through grade six, with a wide array of programs for gifted and creative children.
The school has class sizes of 15 or fewer, with devoted and talented classroom and specialty teachers. Meritor features a Russian/Singapore math program as the core of its science, technology, engineering and math curriculum, with specialty teachers for those subjects across all grade levels.
Each child has an individualized learning program. My second grader is doing addition and subtraction of negative numbers, something most public schools don't even discuss until sixth grade.
Meritor also has a strong art and music program, and the halls of the school are adorned with amazing creations made by the children. I can't say enough about the school's art teacher, who teaches the children to see the world through the eye of an artist. My son has been at Meritor since kindergarten, and we couldn't be happier with the school, its programs and staff.
One other thing that might be of interest to working parents: Meritor offers a before and after school program, which is available from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.
